Sfortunatamente Malcolm Bright può aggiungere “problemi di abbandono” alla sua lunga lista di guai.

La rete Fox ha deciso di cancellare Prodigal Son dopo due stagioni; oltreoceano quello che ora diventa il finale di serie sarà trasmesso martedì 18 Maggio.

Sebbene il network ha preferito non rilasciare dichiarazioni ufficiali, un insider ha riferito che è stato “incredibilmente difficile” staccare la spina al thriller, ma purtroppo il numero di telespettatori era troppo scarso per giustificare un rinnovo per la terza stagione.   Prodigal Son TV Series – Poster cm. 30 X 40

Recentemente, Prodigal Son ha ottenuto 2 milioni di telespettatori totali con un rating di 0.4, in calo rispettivamente del 38 e 45% rispetto alla prima stagione piazzandosi al quarto posto tra tutti i drammi di Fox e facendo meglio solo di Filthy Rich e NEXT (che erano già state cancellate).

Nel tentativo di aumentare un po’ gli ascolti, la vincitrice dell’Oscar, Catherine Zeta-Jones si era recentemente unita al cast formato da Tom Payne nei panni del protagonista, Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Diamond Phillips, Halston Sage, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts e Keiko Agena.    [TVLine]
